Everything about the Z7 is amazing. I own a D5100 (which was my first SLR), D800, and D750, all of which I loved to use over the past 6 years. The Z7 hands down is the best camera I've ever used. I bought this camera for a trip I'm taking abroad in February 2019. I first shot it today for a wedding, utilizing the highest resolution RAW photos and 1080p video at 120 fps. Everything from the grip, to the EVF, to the sound and feel of the shutter, to the amazing object tracking on video is OUTSTANDING! I've used friends' mirrorless Sony's, Panasonic, and Leica's, and the Z7 shames them all.
BRAVO NIKON! Job well done! I can't wait to shoot on my travels!
I have had a few nikons in the past from the d300 to the d500 and now the Z7. I loved my d300 and recently the d500 but I have to say the z7 (while different in form and function) is now my favorite.
Love - smaller size - electronic view finder - quality of lens and overall sharpness of the photos - huge amount of detail captures with the sensor - beautiful video. - firmware upgrades have unlocked more camera power.
I am very happy with the camera and can’t wait to take more photos and video.
Awesome camera !! The images you get out of these camera are really pro-grade. The COLORS are so much better !! Auto-focus works perfectly with the lenses I have. 24-70 f4 S, 50mm f1.8, 35mm f1.8. Snapbrige mobile app works seamlessly. The camera overall is very well made. This is very well suited for the long-exposure night time photographs. The RAW files you get out of this camera is so sharp and chessy !! The battery power is good for ~700 stills.
I was quite critical when I bought this camera but as I get out there and shoot. This camera changes me with every shot I took. I will not let it go. It is truly a wonderful camera. Please go to a camera store and check the camera yourself and try to look at those files in a bigger monitor!! The Z-mount is so wide. I am convinced you will LOVE THIS CAMERA-Z7 !!
