The best color reproduction is still Nikon and this camera proves it.
camera is a beast
Good + higher MP is better detail. have tested too many shot nor have a z6 to compare. But I notice it makes things a tad sharper. +af seem good, haven't test it for portrait yet. When i do i will update. + it uses a battery grip, not using a battery grip for almost 3 years really bother me, I bought the z7ii with a battery grip. bad -Kind of pricey. Feature wise the z6 is almost the same. (not talking about focus stacking found on the z7ii), only the sensor is different and i don't think it is worth a k more than the z6 series. - I used to do a few video clips, the the z6 readout on paper is better. -iso noise on my indoor nigh shots, compared to the z6, not side by side. Low light and high iso i see more noise on the z7ii that wasn't much on the z6 from what I remembered. -i wanted a fully articulating screen after 3years, still don't have it. Not getting the ZFc, I still have my DF. Shooting low in portrait mode a fully articulating screen is quite nice in image as I was holding a camera.
I more focus on portrait (but I shoot everything, landscape, macro) and wanted more details and a battery grip. Face AF improvement. This isn't really a big upgrade over the z7, but for me coming from a z6 24mp it is an upgrade. The camera feels the same so that isn't much to learn, grant the battery grip makes it feel different. I wished i could still keep the z6 for low light and maybe video, but i don't have the extra cash and need to sell it for this tad overpriced camera. 45.6mp means i won't spray and pray my shots like i would on the Z6.
After about 2 months of use so far this Z7 II is definitely a keeper.
For me, looking at various things like color rendition, sharpness / image stabilization, grain/noise, dynamic range and low light capability, the Z7 II just seemed to my eyes to be able to produce better looking images.
