Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera with NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm VR Zoom Lens + SanDisk 32GB Memory Card + ZeeTech Accessory Bundle
I bought this to replace my Nikon D700. I was looking into Z6 but the Z5 at $999 is a steal since it has pretty much the same features as the Z6, minus the LCD display on top. I don't shoot sports / action so the slow fps doesn't bother me. The low light focusing seems to be satisfactory. The viewfinder is garbage when it gets really dark but then Z6 and Z7 have the same issue anyway. 24 megapixel is more than enough for me.
I upgraded to this camera after using the Nikon D7200 for several years. It is much lighter and very easy to use. I found that it focused very easily and when used with an FTZ adapter you can continue using your existing AF-S lenses. The one problem that you may have is that it does not have any scenery-related modes, but after a bit of use, you will be very comfortable with the Auto, P, A, S, and M modes. It also has many different menu options that will allow control of your exposure either with natural light or with a flash unit attached.
The Nikon Z5 is the best option if you are looking at a full frame mirrorless camera, coupled with a 24-200 and/or 50mm the pictures are crisp and very sharp. With the discounts running right now, its priced perfectly, IBIS, Lowlight advantage, dual SD, superior functionality which allows quick switching between various functions just outweighs other entry level mirrorless camera.
Been wanting a full frame a long time. This is a good one for a amateur.
I purchased the camera to convert to infra red, so i wanted it for stills and only stills. I didnt wish to pay extra for special video capabilities. It handles still very well. This is not a fast sport shooter camera with its frame rate, but it's perfect as an all-rounder stills camera. It has TWO card slots. The back screen is not as high rez as the z6, but you wont notice the difference. Image quality is superb.
Great purchase
