I am a professional photographer with thirty years of shooting, and I have never appreciated a 24-70mm zoom as much as I do this one. I've probably had ten over my career, but this is hands down the sharpest I've ever used. I'll admit that I was hoping that it would be a bit smaller and lighter, making a better match with the Z bodies, but I got over it very quickly once I started using it. FYI, I had tried the f/4 version earlier, and I find this lens worth the extra money. If you can afford it, get it -- it's wonderful!

For Stills, Love the picture quality I'm getting with my Z6. For Video, the Z6 is my first Nikon mirror less camera. I have tons of F mount glass but with the adapter, video focus is little to non-usable. But now with this 24-70 2.8s, Video focus is as good as I'd hope it be. This suits all my needs for the type of stuff I film. Not to mention the different focal lengths I'm getting with just one lens, beats carrying a bag full of primes. I especially love the gimbal shots I'm able to achieve now!

Solid piece. Won't find a better made one out there.

I’ll leave the detailed reviews to the experts, but there are two things I really appreciate: (1) Fast lens and (2) Having the ability to control the ISO from the lens itself. It is heavy, but that’s the price you pay for a f/2.8/ zoom lens.

The best of Nikon glass for the Z cameras. It’s really great.

Pictures are sooooooo much better using this lens than with my old F-mount 24-70. Photos come out sharper than ever!

I am coming from a Nikon D850 and the 24-70 2.8 and this S series Z lens is fantastic! It is sharp at 2.8 and super quick and accurate focus. It’s my fave to keep on camera for around town. I am a full time photographer of 30 years. It’s a fantastic lens and highly recommend it.

Worth it if you are into photos.
