Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm F/2.8 VR S Lens with 64GB SanDisk Memory Card + Tripod + Backpack + A-Cell Accessory Bundle
This lens is razor sharp at all focal points and CRISP video at all focal points as well. If you are on a budget, will not be doing video and are on the fence on which one to get? Get the F-mount version, you will not be disappointed. If you can afford the 2.8 S and you are like me and just trying to save, DON'T! ESPECIALLY if you make money from your photography, bite the bullet and get the S, you will hate yourself until it arrives and you mount it on your camera then you will only wish you had bought it sooner. It isn't overly big or heavy like the F-mount version either so it looks just perfect on the Z5. Enjoy the lens!
So far- very happy with this lens!
Good deal, seller sent everything advertised and in great condition.
I haven’t purchased this lens yet, but I rented it this week for a wedding and now I HAVE to have it. I really thought I couple take a year off of buying equipment. If you’re an even photographer, this is a must. I used this for most of the bridal portraits instead of my prime lenses. It was a DREAM!!!!! Perfect amount of bokeh and tack sharp!
Nikon enthusiast for over 40 years. All my earlier lenses were primes. But I thought - Now - for me that the extra size and weight of a high quality zoom might be preferred to hauling 3-4 different primes. I was not wrong. I've had this only a couple months, taken one short trip, and shot about 800 pictures so far. I love this lens. I can hand hold it easily. It's sharp to the edge + corners. It's fast, and quiet.
I have never used any zoom lens until this 24-70 2.8 z lens. All my Nikon lens are primes started from the film days. I like prime lens's compact size, sharpness, contrasts and separations. In general I would prefer quality / light travel than zoom lens's conveniences. I am always intimidated by the size and weight of trinity pro zooms. This latest 24-70 2.8 is much smaller than F mount counter part, that I can tolerate and carry around. this lens + Z6 can fit in my current camera bag with lens hood on. The lens feels really solid and well balanced on the camera, though still a little bit front heavy overtime if hold the camera with only one hand. The zoom ring has nice damp and friction that reminds me of the focus ring on those legacy lens; I do like the little display that comes in handy when under little or no light condition. Autofocus on Z6 is fast without making any noise, perfect for taking videos. I decided to go with mirrorless because Z mount's very short 16mm flange focus depth and large size enables outstanding optical potentials; Phase detection focusing with mirrorless's sensor can produce very sharpe images (If Z6 nails the focus). The color, contrast, sharpness are beyond my surprise, matches my 1.4 prime lens's image qualities.
The color is vivid, transparent, and detailed. This lens + Z6's sensor can produce some great skin tones. With Z6's built in sensor stabilization, I can get sharp picture with two or even three stops slower shutter speed, very impressive and useful for stills in low light. This is one and only native Z lens that I have so far for Z6, and I don't plan to adapt any F mount prime lens on Z6, given its high performance, versatility and reasonable size. I really cannot think of anything negative about this lens. Nikon's new Z mount and lens are pretty well done indeed. This lens has changed my mind about the pro zoom lens and I really enjoy taking pictures and video with it.
even though i already have the F/4 version of this lens, the F/2.8 version of the lens is great to have when you need a zoom lens with a higher aperture.
I have owned four Nikon 24-70 lenses, and this is, by far, the best. My previous favorite, the non-VR, 24-70 F/2.8 is awfully good on both F mount cameras, as well as using the adapter for the Z-7. Coupled with the Z cameras new eye focusing, this new lens is an unbeatable combo. From the first shot on, this has proven to be a winner. The f/4.0 version is no slouch either, and is smaller and lighter for traveling, but I will now bring the faster lens, even while traveling. The image quality is superb, coupled with the vibration reduction and the full stop faster is a really great combo for available light photography.
I have been with Nikon for over 10 years and loved all cameras I have owned. However this lens is simply breathtaking. Combined with Z7 it produces the sharpest nicest pictures I have ever taken! I own the 24-70 f4 which is amazing but since I have purchased this beast I have not taken it of the camera. Photos have new dimension and video is simply amazing. I do own Sony mirrorless camera and I love it but for any serious work without hesitation I choose this lens! If you have the budget you must give it a go and try this compact marvel of the new era technology :) you will be happy you did !
