I replaced the F/4 version of this lens with this one and have no regrets. Even though this lens is larger, handling it is a joy. The additional stop of light is helpful in poorly lit places and creates beautiful subject separation wide open, while still remaining very sharp. Highly recommended.

This lens lives up to all the online reviews. Awesome image quality on the Z7 and Z6. I was a bit concerned about size/weight after reading some other reviews, particularly in comparison to the 24-70 f/4.0 S, which I also own. But coming from an F mount 24-70 f/2.8 on a DSLR, this lens is probably 20% smaller and lighter, and sits on the Z6/7 nicely without over powering it. It makes for a well balanced combination. Its solid but not overly big or heavy. If you demand the best quality, there is nothing about its size that should make you second guess buying this. I have a 14-30 that lives on my Z7, bu this one lives on my Z6!

The image quality of this lens is amazing! After trying zoom lens though, i came to appreciate my style of shooting is with prime. This amazing lens coupled with a great quality camera like Z7ii will never let you down! Love it!

This is the best lens I've ever owned. As a semi pro photographer for over 17 years, I've owned a lot of glass. This is without a doubt the best glass I've ever owned. Sharp from edge to edge and perfect in the center. Completely silent and fast autofocus.

I recently switched to a Z7 from a D850 and bought this lens. I've read the reviews and seen some of the pictures that people have taken with this lens, but when they are your own photos... it's a completely different thing. Lens is fast and quiet. I had the same kind of lens for the D850 and I had both side by side and the sound levels were completely different. Love how much more compact this lens is compared to the F mount version also. I still have the 70-200 F mount, but if the soon to be released 70-200 Z mount is anything like this, I'm buying!

This lens is the most versatile while still being as sharp as a prime lens. Not kidding, it totally compares to the prime lenses within its focal range. I have taken it through both snow and rain, no problem. It is totally tack sharp and I adore this lens. It also has an excellent build quality. Yes it is expensive but you really get your money’s worth.

I have used several 24-70 f/2.8 lenses over the years on full frame DSLRs. I also have the f/4 24-70 "kit" lens. The f/4 is as good as any of the Nikon F moiunt counter parts. The f/2.8 lens is better. The sharpest zoom in this range I have ever seen. Focus is fast and quiet..It is not a lightweight Z camera lens, but it is a superb quality lens.

One of the absolute best lenses for the Z series you can get in my honest opinion. While not cheap, it can potentially be the one lens you can use for just about anything. Tack sharp and buttery smooth bokeh and a super quiet and fast AF motor make this lens a must have for anyone using the Z system
