Autofocus is amazing and I am using it with the g master 1.4. However, if you film a lot of video then a7siii is still the go to.
I bought this camera to replace my Sony A7iii which was my workhorse for several years. I still keep that camera as a backup as it is still an amazing camera even in 2022 standards. I just love the updated autofocus system and body and ergonomics you get from the A7Siii. High ISO noise is still very good despite have 33mpcompared to the A7iii 24mp. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking to get into mirrorless camera systems or upgrading from APSC. I simply love this camera and will be using this as my work horse for many years!
This is an upgrade from my AR7ii - a camera I love, and probably will be keeping as a hot spare. Sony has done so much to listen to its customers!
If you’re upgrading from a alpha 2, r2, r3 it’s gonna be worth the upgrade in every way. Lowlight video/ photos looks amazing. The 33 pm sensor is powerful and sharp. The autofocus is snappy with any lens. You won’t be disappointed. It does pretty much everything you need for video and photos.
I've been a big fan of Canon EOS cameras for ages. Sony Alpha changed my life, it adds so much customization. Continous focus is awesome with GM cameras. The only downside is battery life and cropping when recording 4k 60fps
Play Video Can't find a way to respond to an individual's review here who is having an issue with their memory card slot, but this might help others. If you're having trouble with the memory card slot door it doesn't open automatically when you slide the open button. Its a two stage door, you use your thumb to push the slider to 'open' and then push the door towards you, then it'll spring open. You don't need to return your cameras! Hope that helps some of you. Get out there and shoot some amazing shots!
I shopped for a long time to find a great video camera for YouTube videos and online course creation. So far I'm very happy with this. I am pairing it with a sigma 24 to 70 lens.
Fast focus prducing quality photos, paired with 24mm GM prime lens.
I have a Sony a7s3 and bought this as a B cam for weddings and travel photography. I mainly do video so I wanted something that I would be able to shoot 24 fps and maybe a little 60fps, while also taking good photos since the A7S3 is only 12 megapixels. This camera over delivers. Buy it. Unless you need full frame 60fps, this camera is a STEAL for the money
