Good Camera.
I love the Sony A7. It fits my needs perfectly !
This is the first camera I've ever owned thats not a phone camera. I don't know even what aperture, fstop, etc is.Technology these days is wild. Get this if you are a beginner with money to spend and want something to grow in to.
I've had this camera for over a year and I still feel like I haven't used it to its full potential. Upgrading from the Sony A7III 8bit color to 10bit 4:2:2 color has been incredible. It influenced me to improve my skills as a colorist. The A7IV is a pretty overkill for a 1st camera buyer. I would recommend this after you've had some experience with shooting and you figured out what kind of content you like to shoot.
I was in the market to replace my a6500 and was stuck between the SonyA7siii and Sony IV. I read and watched tons of reviews and just ended up going with the IV because it was cheaper and more of a hybrid option, especially for what I do. Ergonomically the camera build is pretty similar to the Sony A7 line up, I personally was using an A6500 so this was a big difference for me. Loved the way it felt in the hands and especially the flip-out screen! I know it's a bit silly, but like I said I was shooting on the A6500 so this is a huge upgrade for me! The battery life on this camera runs laps on the A6500, I went from holding 6 batteries on my A6500 to just carrying two with the new SONY IV. This is pretty important because when you are traveling on shoots, I prefer to reduce as much equipment as possible. Been using this camera for 3 months now and haven't had any issues at all! Definitely happy with the upgrade!
I switched over from Fuji to Sony. I owned the fuji x-t4 and x-s10. Neither could keep up with moderate to fast moving people. The sony a7iv is on another level. It has a feature called "real time focus tracking". This can keep up with very fast moving subjects and objects. I shot a roller coaster and it managed to keep focus! The camera has a great grip, long battery life, lots of buttons and customization, dual card slots and much much more.
This is my first foray into the full-frame mirrorless world and also my first Sony. I'm a photography enthusiast coming mainly from a Canon 5Diii, but have a Fujifilm XT-4 as well. The tl;dr version of this review is that I'm impressed enough to keep the camera and even equip it with some nicer lenses. It's everything everyone has said it is. Why did I buy an a7iv? I've heard good things about Sony cameras for years, I figured it was time to get a serious mirrorless setup going, I wanted a slightly smaller camera so I'd be more likely to take it with me, I like the way Sonys look more than Canons, and I wanted to see how nice eye AF was to shoot with. I'm not disappointed at all. The ergonomics took a little getting used to for me. I have very large hands with slender fingers, so I liked holding my Canon a lot. The a7iv is a little smaller, which is what I wanted, and will be okay. The grip is just a tad larger than a friend's a9. I love the dials and custom buttons. The joystick feels nice and solid. The screen is responsive and easily rotated and flipped. The shutter button has great feel, which is something I never found to be true with Canon. The shape is classic and timeless. I found myself wishing, as I customized it, that it had another dial for AF and release mode...then I realized that's a premium feature of the a1 and a9. At least it's good to know Sony and I are on the same page with how nice that dial is!
I have used a lot of cameras in my day, and this is by far the best. Super detailed 4k video, no overheating in any mode including 4k60. Best autofocus I have ever seen. The new ibis with digital is really helps with handheld video. The body and comfortable to hold and easy to use. Overall, this camera is fantastic. 100% recommended!
I just bought this after about a decade using the A6300. It seems like a "jack of all trades" that lets me compromise between the Sony A7R and A7S series. I'm not a photographer, but I'm thoroughly impressed - it's really well built, very ergonomic, and takes great pics even with the kit lens (which I'm going to replace shortly). That leads me to my only issue - the ASP-C lenses made for the A6000 series are way cheaper than the Sony FE lenses. I have zero complaints about this amazing camera, but I just suggest that you factor in the increased costs of full frame lenses if you decide to make the leap.
The Sony A7 IV is simply one of the best cameras on the market right now. The autofocus, lowlight performance and incredible resolution are all mindblowing.
As a professional photographer for 20 years, this is by far the best camera I used. It's hard to take a bad picture using the Sony A7. I'm glad I upgraded.
Wow ! This camera is unbelievable. It performs well in every environment, I tried it indoors, outdoors, in the wilderness, close up, far objects, and it worked flawlessly every time.
I have no regrets buying from this seller, the camera was packaged nicely and arrived in great condition not even a scratch. The accessories are a nice addition and work well.
