Incredible camera. I had a Nikon d750 and had been wanting to upgrade to the D850 for a year. I finally did and have zero regrets. If you are considering buying this camera, do it.
Camera is great, of course.
Most everything has been said regarding this camera. It is so flexible for so many different types of photography and how one works. Absolutely love it. Only compliant that I have is that the sensor seems to pick up dust easier then my other cameras. Oh, and I wish the shutter sounded a little more robust.
The most versatile DSLR on the market today. The D850 is an all rounder with autofocus rivaling the D5. The Achilles heel for the D850 is that it uses a slow contrast detection autofocus for video. Canon and Sony do far better. However, the camera is unsurpassed for still photography and has a far superior autofocus when compared to the D810.
Terrific CMOS senor. High speed, high resolution. Great for photography, not so great for video
What else can I say that's not already been said. This is a fantastic DSLR. Nikon hit it out of the park with this one. Image quality, resolution, functions & features, compatibility with the entire lens inventory, it's all there. This is the new benchmark. Well done Nikon!
Style: Body OnlySet: BaseVerified Purchase So far so good, good camera, the user manual print is small to read, so I turn to the online manual. I wish it has a protective screen and a spare battery.
This is the best camera I've owned since 1970's including film, digital, etc. I've had a steady stream of Canon and Nikon cameras, but this one tops them all. Can't go wrong with owning this camera. Impressed. This is my 8th Nikon Digital SLR's, but it might be my last - it's that good.
The look on my D5's face was priceless when I slid the 850 into the bag next to it.....She's a bit jealous. The 850 is simple to summarize as perfection and the best camera you could have for the price-point.
