I researched the hell out of the available cameras. I wanted to stick with Nikon so I could use all the lenses I have. So far the camera is a beast! Great, fast autofocus & incredible low light performance, which is something I like as I take a bunch of low light photos. Overall it’s a great camera, it’s not cheap, but if you’re looking at cameras at this level I don’t think you’ll regret blowing the money on it.
I have a Z6 and was happy to find out that the D780 is as sensitive to low light as well as take excellent quality images. Also, the noise processing speeds for LNR is significantly faster than Z6 so I may switch to D780 for all my astro photography
What I really like about this camera is, it is quiet. This is a great camera in so many ways. I mainly use manual focus lenses and this body is perfectly compatible with Nikon/Zeiss F mount lenses. No complaints at all. Recommended!
I love this camera, it was an excellent decision, the battery lasts a long time, it's very agile to focus and very good image quality even in poor lighting.
This camera is a lot of fun, the video capabilities are way stronger and I'm loving the photos. It is producing some of my best work.
I have been using Nikon for 30 years and the brand never ceases to amaze me, the construction and finishes are first class, its sensor, the image is not asked for more, it improved the AF a lot. The magnesium body feels solid in the hands, its grip is feels comfortable, I have medium hands but I think that for larger hands it also works. In itself, if you like DSLRs this camera is perfect (I don't get used to mirrorles)
I love the advanced features on this D780 over previous Nikon DSLR camera. The size of the D780 fits my hand well. I recommend to use the manual so the initial set up is not difficult. The eye focus is a great feature. Overall I love this camera
All cameras have pros and cons relative to other cameras and there are a gazillion reviews online that can help you make a decision. In my case, this was what I needed and was worth it. I have only enjoyed using this one. I love the HDR function, the autofocus on the touchscreen, the superb low-light performance, the whole thing really
This camera super fast, amazing at low light photography (which I do often). I love the touchscreen capabilities, it makes focusing on specific objects extremely easy. Literally at the tap of a screen. This camera is war better than my old Nikon, I have no complaints!
I am still getting familiar with it but it's a wonderful professional camera. I originally got the D850 but it was too heavy for me and I felt like it wasn't what I needed necessarily at this point in my photography journey. Honestly if you compare the D780 and the D850 they both shine in their own ways.
