I have been using the D7500 for about six months. So far it has been a huge upgrade over my D5500. The low light capabilities is much improved. The focusing system is very good. I have used it with my two Sigma lens (18-35 F1.8, 50-100 F1.8) with no complaints. The extra dials and buttons are a huge help when changing settings. I have read several people complaining about the lack of a second card slot as well not having the ability to install a battery grip. Those issues do not impact me. I have been 100% happy with this purchase.
I moved up from a D3100. Im very pleased with this camera. Its also great in low ligbt conditions. It has wireless tranfer which I was looking for. I was also able to use the lenses that I had previously acquired. I think it's a great camera, has a nice feel and not too heavy.
Over thirty years using several Nikon cameras of different types, I am most pleased with this Nikon D7500 camera than any other one. For me this was the most expensive and the one that delivers the best quality videos and photos. It is true that you get what you pay for and I am so glad that I invested to purchase this camera and I am so pleased with the videos about cruising and flying that it captures and produces. Thank you Nikon.
I love this camera. I am a long-term buyer, so when I get new equipment it needs to last for a minimum of five years. My last Nikon was amazing, so it was hard for me to accept that the time had come for an upgrade. But I’m so glad that I did. I had the chance to shoot night racing for the first time, something my old camera could never do, and the pictures came out great for my limited experience with the new body.
I have owned a d3200, d3300 and D5300. Tried out the d7500 but like the features and ease of use of the d5600 so decided to use in my business as a real estate person. Had decided to replaced my d5300 because the Lv control had been discovered to be broken. Wanted to stay in the same camera family because of having available lens.
Major step up from my d5500. Excellent image quality. Ergonomics are well thought out. New deep grips are much better in my opinion. Overall it’s missing a few things compared to d7200 but I think the new tech is worth it. Focus is very fast and the auto fine tune is excellent for screw drive af and af-d lenses. Battery life is incredible compared to any mirrorless I’ve used. If you have Nikon dx glass you can’t go wrong with this body.
Excelllent camera, very sharp and reacts very well to high ISO
I like this new model, it takes great pictures, but, has given me issues: the display goes blank when, during shooting, I play around with some settings. It makes it real hard to understand the settings you've adjusted, when you're trying to set them just right for that great picture. I'd like to return it and buy the D500 instead (which is a proven model), but can't do so, because I made the mistake of throwing away the original packaging.
This camera has the same sensor as the D500 (next level up) and very similar focusing modes. The flexibility of modes and shooting scenarios on this camera is amazing. It does equally well with landscape and artistic shots as well as flight shots of birds and focusing in brush to find the bird or other animal. I wish the viewfinder was more flexible in positioning for low shots and shots above my head.
Came as advertised, include everything. I
