Nikon put together a product that gives the photographer a combination of two great cameras professional photographers use. It's a blender between the artistic quality of the D750 and the iso and autofocus speed of the D500 under one house. The only thing that's a little lacking is the 4k crop on video, but the 1080p might just rock it out of the park. A camera this professional keeps grabbing more then any other camera body.

Other than that... this camera does what I want it to, rich photos, instant focus, fast bursts, full manual or vivid auto. I find that I use the auto to shoot where I'll be moving in and out of variable light. I don't want to miss a shot monkeying with the settings. But when I have a more stationary subject, manual gives me the control I want. The screen on the back is reasonably accurate so I can trust the settings. I shoot everything from wildlife to events to landscape and portraiture. What I'm most impressed with is that I can shoot better shots at low light than I could with the entry level Nikon. I love this camera. People are blown away by the photos. Oh, one last thing. The selector ring on the back of the camera is abrasive on my face. Weird, I know, but it forces me to be sure my face isn't pressed against the camera. A small issue but it can be annoying to have a sore nose after a day of shooting.

I started using Nikon's DSLRs since 2004 when the D70 came out. I enjoyed that camera and took many nice photos with it. After using D7100, D5300, D60, D90, D610, and D7000, which I also used a lot, I debated if I should go for D7200. Interestingly, the timing of the D7500 was great. What attracted me was the touch screen, which I have on my Lumix GX85, and the it seemed to me that the image quality between D7500 and D7200 is negligible. I also like the higher weight than the D7100. For those who complain about the plastic body, it doesn't bother me one bit because I wanted to use this camera for my travels. Surprisingly, upon testing it, the jpeg image quality comes out of this camera is better than the D610, which has the full-frame sensor. Unless I plan to make giant prints, crop sensor is perfectly fine for me.

I'm glad I bought this package. I didn't know how much I needed the AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED Lens until I got one. It's really a step up.

This is a great improvement over my old D90. It does take a bit of getting used to. It has a point a shoot mode but that is not taking advantage of what it can do. It has nearly all the features and performance of the top of the line Nikon and if you take some time to get used to it, it will take wonderful pictures and movies. The 4K moves with a good lens are spectacular. The focus features when taking movies is a bit complicated and using the default out of box settings are not great.

I've taken a lot of pictures over the years, and always loved it. And, I had the same decent DSLR for over a decade. It'd take decent pics, and it cost a few pence more than I was hoping to for a hobby all those years back. This time, I had decided I'd run into the limit of what I could do _with_ that camera. After much research, I decided to get the D7500, and I slightly regret it. It's not because it's a poor camera – it's not, it's lovely, Nor is it that it's hard to hold (It feels perfectly designed in the hand, almost like Nikon knows how to make camera bodies. Not that it doesn't take good photos – the quality is superb, the buffer seems nearly infinite at the rate I shoot. I only regret not going full frame as I want to take bigger images, and have easier access to wider glass.

I'm an amateur photographer but I'm getting pro results with this camera. Make sure the shoulder strap is securely attached, before hanging this camera around your neck, because being moderately weighty it may become detached from the strap if not firmly secured. The price was great too.
