Wow, after watching a lot of videos on youtube I almost desired not to buy it, being the biggest problem for a lot of people the single slot sd card and no battery grip option. But, I got it,, Man, what a beautiful piece of art this thing is, I also have the d7100 wich is a great camera also but I wanted to be able to shoot 4k videos, and guess what, the 4k video is outstanding, but not only that but also takes better pics than the d7100. So do your self a favor and do not pay attention to those negative reviews on youtube and get this baby.. God bless.

I've never owned a real camera (just cellphone cameras) before. I'm very impressed by the quality and sharpness of its photos. Beyond that, you can work on raw with photoshop or lightroom to make the final product even better. It is not easy to use as an iPhone camera of course, at least if you want to use it in manual mode. But with a little dedication, you can take pictures that you're never going to take with cellphones.

Picked it up yesterday and traded in a couple of cameras. Did some test shots read pdf on line. Have used the D80 D300 D3300. This is an excellant camera in this price range. Very nice focus super fast to. Let me add to this a bit. First of all if you have a D7200 no you don’t need to upgrade. Now the uproar over the missing card shot is much ado about nothing. If you are taking critical shots like a wedding or that once in a lifetime trip you should have a second camera body etc with you for if a camera fails on you it can be many causes not just a failed card slot.

When Nikon introduced the D7500, it was very similar in technology as the more capable D500. Although the latter has more features, especially more AF points, but both it and the D7500 take sharp images if you are using good optics. I am very happy with my purchase and think that Nikon did a great job with this camera. It won't be long before the DSLR cameras will fade into history...but for now I am liking this very capable APS-C body. I already own an older D3400, but there is really no comparison.

I learned to take pictures on a very old Nikon, only shifting to a dslr 6ish years ago when I bought a D3300. So I am NOT an expert on digital cameras. But I can say with absolute certainty that this camera is amazing. I haven't even played with any of the fancy stuff the camera can do, I'm just talking about picture quality. The three big differences that I noticed right away, just taking practice pictures in my living room, are: more accurate auto-focus, beautiful light, and better controls.

Overall I think it’s a wonderful camera. With the advent of mirrorless cameras and decent cell phone cameras you might ask if a DSLR is still relevant. I still think they have some advantages. True TTL view with no lag lets you get the right moment in action shots to name one. But for me the biggest advantage is battery life. You can leave your DSLR on all day long, pull it up and its ready to go faster than you can push the button. With the Nikon I was getting somewhere around 700+ shots and I never ran the battery dry.
