Intuitive. Nice grip. See how the picture will look in the viewfinder, ie not after you take the image. Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity is a breeze. A brilliant product.
This was my first new-ish camera. And the biggest purchase I have made, I love is camera and accessories that come with it.
I could care less about video quality or what it cant do. This is an awesome upgrade from a t4i, i use it for stills, and i absolutely love it. So worth the upgrade.
Great smaller Full Frame Canon Camera. Only cons are the lenses are expensive and large. They need some smaller pancake primes and to add uncropped 4k video recording.
Excellent, I love it! Profesional pictures!
Perfect kit. Perfect price.
Did not work with my existing Canon Lens
Absolutely what I was looking for!
This camera is great, if you are just getting started. I went from a 5D MkIV to this because my camera took an unfortunate tumble. I have shot with the RP for about a year, and milked it as much as I could but just put in an order for an upgrade. Its a good camera, not amazing, but a good platform. I would recommend this to anyone going from a crop sensor to a full frame for the first time, but then again, you might as well go for the 6D MkII. Canon hasn’t quite caught up to Sony in regards to specs as far as I know, so do your research and compare before you invest over 2k on a camera/lens setup. The EOS RP works, I can guarantee you that, but it will only please you for so long in my experience.
If you want to get into the mirrorless world it is a great camera and you are going to have a hard time finding fault with it. And you have to remember that most times that people complain about the picture quality odds are they put a cheap lens on the camera. If you put a cheap lens on the most expensive camera out there the camera will under perform, the glass is way more important than the camera.
Love this camera! I purchased the RP paired with the RF 24-105L lens a couple of months ago. I previously owned a Canon 60D with the 15-85 EF-S. This camera has exceeded my expectations in many areas. It is super fun to use and takes great pictures. I was considering an 80D/90D but have been frustrated by the lack of excellent EF-S lenses. The 15-85 EF-S is very good but nowhere near the 24-105 L or many of the other full frame lenses. In the end I decided on the RP. I am very glad I made that choice.
Overall a very good camera. After several APS-C cameras this is my first Canon full frame. If this is your first FF then you will love it. 1080p video is great and still are excellent. If you are looking at this and coming from another system then most likely it is more advanced and you may disappointed. Just know what you are buying into when you get this system. Also, although they are coming out with new lenses they are big and expensive. From the lenses coming out the optical quality of those are way more advanced that what this camera can handle. This camera is not future proof. The next few models (over the next 2-3 years) will put this thing to shame. Canon probably rushed this out as an attempt to be competitive in the full frame market. The title says it all Good camera but not great. Considering the pros and cons I am happy with it even though it has the limitations mentioned. I recommend with reservations.
