The R7 has been a solid performer for me the last couple of weeks I have been shooting with it. I shot Great Falls Kayak races, Hummingbirds in flight and various other nature subjects. I like the extra reach it provides we with out a teleconverter along with the cropping capability of the 32 MP image files. Noise has not been fairly controlled at higher ISOs I have also been able to adapt fairly easily to the slightly different control dials and buttons as compared to my Canon R5. The electronic shutter is fast and I actually like the sound option in this mode. I don't however like the shutter roll I have seen with fast moving subjects so I am selective when I use this mode. I have been shooting in CRAW and have not had any buffer issues to date on bird in flight sequences. Mechanical shutter is noisier but not off the hook. I am very happy with the R7 to date

Coming from a 5div, this cameras autofocus is amazing! Only using adapted canon ef glass: 100-400ii 500mm f4 ii 100mm L macro All work wonderfully well I bought the kit because body only wasn't available. The 18-150 isn't as bad as I expected

I was expecting the R7 to be good, but I've been pleasantly surprised at just how good it is. Autofocus is just as good as the R6 and images are crisp. And one of my concerns was low light noise with the 30+MP sensor - - BUT this camera does a great job with low light and controlling noise. The it lens is also better than expected. It is not an L-series lens, but takes excellent images, with good color, contrast, etc. All in all I'd highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for an APS-C sensor body!

I bought this camera for travelling and for capturing wildlife. It's a great camera if you like to shoot with 1,6x extra zoom. Buy a full frame if your main focus is portraits and scenery. The kit lens is light and is surprisingly good. The only thing I don't like with this lens that it's not weather sealed. For this price you get a good camera that is fun for starters, but also for amateur who takes photographs for years (like me).

Ordered this camera and happily received it the day before embarking on a safari. Follows animal's eyes incredibly accurately, resulting in fantastic shots of birds in flight, cheetahs on the run, etc. The quality of the video also quite impressive for a camera- a huge step up from my previous Canon T4i. Would have preferred if this lens had an image stabilizer in it, but usually used a different lens (with an adapter) from my prior camera and this worked great without noticeable delay in photos! The image stabilizer in the camera still meant my shots with this one that were of family and closer things were sharp. Pleasantly surprised by the weight as well - very easy to carry. Would recommend this as a new camera to anyone for nature photography- likely works well with people and following them as well.

Am new to digital and mirrorless cameras and was leary of going into it but am sure glad I did. The amount of items in the menu is daunting but with the help of some great photographers on you tube I got through all of it and am starting to understand it. I'm using it for bird and animal photography and love the eye tracking and FPS, I would recommend this camera to anyone interested in nature photography and is on a budget, don't know any other camera out there with these features at this price point.

I only have had the camera a short time but am very pleased with its performance. Fast autofocus and metering were immediately evident. The kit lens is also producing excellent results! I still have a lot to learn with all the features it offers, but am already very satisfied.

I really like the R7 - I have an R5 which is great but I notice I use the R7 more often because of the crop sensor, resolution and better focus ability. The R5 can go to a 1.6 crop but the mega pixel count will drop. The R7 has a faster focus and is accurate - the focus hunt with the mirror-less unit is still there - a bummer. I probably not use the R18-150 often but will have it for whatever. Canon is doing a disservice to photographers with the complete lack of set up information they provide for different uses - wildlife, people and so forth. I tried the set up I used for the R5 and had problems - thank goodness for YouTube videos! Last note the R7 did not work well with non Canon lenses - great results with a Canon 100-400II.
