This camera is more packed with features and quality than I can express in this little space. The auto-focus, stabilization, resolution, along with the famous Canon color space, make this a real winner. Easy to operate and lighter than other cameras of this class, I think this will become a very popular camera. Oh yea, you know it shoots video too!
This is the first mirrorless camera I've bought. I purposely waited a while as I use a 5Ds for landscapes and travel that I love (the size doesn't bother me). I liked the idea of getting back to wildlife and sports photography so I went ahead and picked it up the R7. So far the camera is really great. I used it for my cousin's JV volley ball tournament with the EF 70-200 f/2.8LII and it was great. The AF is really fast, the tracking works very well, and I didn't find the noise bad at all for higher ISO images. If you buy this as a second body to an R5 or R6 you might be a little disappointed but for what the camera is, it really is quite nice. EF lenses with the adapter work very, very well with no loss in AF speed or image quality as far as I can tell. I walked around and took a few nature images as well and they look good as far as I'm concerned. I don't think you can go wrong with the R7 for the price and features.
This is an affordable Mirrorless option for those not needing or wanting a high price tag. It's also a great option for R5 or R6 owners needing a second body too. I has most of the quick focusing and sharp photos you get in big boys, but on a crop sensor. Pluses : ~ half the $$$ of an R5; The crop sensor increases the effective focal distance of full frame lens by the crop factor of 1.6X; less expensive SD cards, light and comfortable, but a little small for large hands; Sam batteries as the R5, R6 and you can use batteries from earlier DSLRs like 6Ds and 5D series cameras. Minuses: Does not have the third knob (on my R5, you can use it to control ISO etc.) and a different control knob and dial configuration (takes some getting used to.); Currently no extended grip is available for extra battery life and better holding of larger hands. The last minus to me is the crop sensor although more pixels, is more sensitive to high ISOs above 6400
A great camera for the money and Yes, I'd buy it again!
I shot with DSLRs for years and this camera has a little bit of a learning curve. (961 page manual). I' very pleased with the image quality. The noise isn't as bad as I anticipated. Buffering doesn't seem to be a big problem when shooting C-RAW. The Canon DPP4 software for this camera has acquired a little AI. You can see the noise soften in the background as the subject sharpens.
I gave in and purchased the camera and lens package because it was available. I purchased this camera as a animal and birding camera because of the fast frames per second, and eye detection. I have not been disappointed. I planed on using all my EOS L lenses, and a was surprised at the kit lens. I use it as a nice light walk around lens.

I've been shooting Nikon for years but wanted to go mirrorless and this new Canon offered so much more than anything Nikon had to offer for the same price. I've been using it for about a week and love it. I'm glad I made the switch.
This camera fits my hand like a glove. Love how light weight it is. Love the smaller size. The focus system is amazing! We'll done, Canon!
