Never misses focus
Great auto focus. Very good ISO performance. Superb IBIS. 4k and higher resolution video recording sucks as it overheats the camera. But it only if you mainly use it for stills. Helpful Report
Upgraded from these cams; 7dmii, 5dmiii, 1dxmkii. I am still using all EF mount glass. This camera is awesome. No complaints other that it goes through batteries quickly.
I have now been using the camera now for a few weeks of model shoots. Every single photoshoot I have to stop repeatedly due to overheat! This is happening both with photo work and video work during entirely separate shoots. After only about 300-350 single raw images I seem to get an overheat which has not happened with any other pro camera I have owned! I will add that I have been shooting with monolights and built in lens corrections enabled which may be increasing the processor load. That said if the camera cannot handle it do not advertise that feature! I would be curious if others using lens correction are having same problem.
We worked with canon dslr, now time to switch Mirrorsless. Tha also we go with canon. Specially R5 photos 📷quality is perfect for us.
There so many fantastic reviews to read or watch on Youtube there's not much for me to add. I've owned a lot of different cameras including the Mark IV. This was a massive step up all around for me, I simply love this camera.
I won't get into too much detail but this camera is awesome, that is all there is to say about it!
Upgraded from the 5dmkiv and am very impressed. The R5 is what I was waiting for from Canon and the RF glass is excellent as well.
An absolute beast of a camera. The eye AF and the IBIS are amazing. I don’t do video so the overheating is a non issue. The high ISO is very good as well. Couldn’t be happier.
