Performance and quality are off the scale.
You have to study the manual and use all the resources available to start to get the performance available, but out-of-the-box this thing is awesome! Charge the battery, install your lens, leave it on automatic, and you will immediately start taking photos with resolution you cannot imagine unless you have had a camera in this category before (45-MPixel, 8K, 17-MB jpgs). Expensive but worth the cost.
This is an outstanding piece of technology.
I have used the R5 to shoot two weddings as well as multiple other hobby projects. It is a massive improvement over the Canon 7D2 that I was using for 4 years prior to this. The autofocus, even in low light is amazing, and the EVF allows me to see the changes to the photo on the fly as I adjust ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
My main reasons for upgrading were to upgrade to full frame, have a camera that would have better noise control for my astrophotography, as well as an increase in resolution for larger prints. The R5 is great and I have no complaints.
This camera checks the majority of the boxes. All cameras are a compromise, but, this one is great for me.
older eyes make focusing difficult for me. The auto focus modes and eye detect are fabulous. The r5 uses 2 cards; sd and cfexpress. Cfexpress is a crazy expensive media to have to use, but it is so much faster than sd, it almost makes sense. The 12 or electronic 20 frames per second makes catching birds in flight child's play. The articulated touchscreen makes camera setup and setting focus points easy. The ability to set duel back button focus is really handy. The r5 is an unnecessarily expensive piece of kit, however, it is by far the best camera, for me, on the market

The R5 is one of the best, if not the best camera on the market for stills. I'm glad this kit comes with a 75-300mm lens because it offer a greater each and zoom capability.
I'm a pro photographer and the R5 upped my game significantly.
