Photos are great, auto focus too. Video is great if you are doing vlogging sitting in front of the camera.
I got this camera for my ResslerMania youtube channel videos. So far it has done well. Due to it being a crop sensor I will need to get a wider angle lens when I want to talk to the camera as I am vlogging but there are work-arounds for that, which I am working on. The kit lens that came with it is surprisingly good do will probably use it with the wide angle lens I plan to get soon, which should be all I need for my uses. Hooking external audio to this camera is a snap, but I would suggest you switch the audio input to manual and adjust your setting accordingly to get the best audio from your external mic. The internal mics are also good to get started on if you do not already have an external mic for the R10.
The 18-45mm lens is good. But the 18-150mm lens is much better.
The R10 is without question a great camera for just about any situation! The R10 is basically the R7 without the in-body stabilization. That said, the R10 stabilization is very very good.
This camera's almost flawless in my opinion.
There is something to be said about the tactile sensation of a real camera that can't be replicated with a smartphone.
i recently purchased the EOS R10 to document construction projects at work and also to shoot recreationally. If you are a beginner, the camera has many settings and special effects but can also be used with the A+ automatic setting without diving too much into the operation manual. The user interface, quality of the photos, and quality of the physical camera body and lens are top notch (Made in Japan). My only issue is the Wifi transfer is extremely slow so best to use a cable to transfer photos directly to your computer. Great camera overall and super happy with my purchase!
This camera is blowing me away. For the "bottom end" body in the R series, it punches way over its cost. I won't go over all the specs and features, other than to say they're awesome. Look them up!
I will say, the feel of the UI is great. It's fast, clean, and intuitive. Even the very modest zoom lens is actually very satisfying to use - like how at 50mm it supports ~50% magnification with ~5" min focusing distance.
The whole body+lens setup is small and light, but big enough to easily operate the controls. I'll shoot from hand for hours with little to no fatigue but in my butt and legs. I love this camera!
