I started as a Pentax shooter and switched to a Canon 1D in 2000. I soon came to realize that buying new cameras was important and I was not going to keep buying Canon 1 series cameras. Besides, the weight of the camera and all my L series lenses took all the fun out of taking pictures. I needed a backpack to carry my camera and lenses-- seriously. My first Rebel was a delight as was the T6s I replaced it with. Canon no longer has Rebel models that have the features of the T6s or the 77 that replaced it. The 8 has nothing, more like a T6i. That led me to the 90D and while it is a bit heavier it is nothing like lugging around a pro camera. A surprise benefit was that it will focus at f8 so my 100-400 with 1.4 extender L lens works giving me the equivalent of an almost 1000 mm lens. The attached photo was taken hand held and note that these birds don't let you get close. My feeling was that historically this camera would be replaced with a new model perhaps next year. But with Canon focusing on mirrorless and with me having several L series lenses I didn't want to switch. Plus, you have to get into high end mirrorless to get something with a real time eyepiece, a necessity for birds in flight. So I decided life is short and money is for spending and bought the 90D. No regrets.
Really good bundle for a great price. this costs as much as the price of the 90D alone.
I’ve owned many Canon cameras. Pro and consumer. This is the best hybrid between the two. It’s basically a full fledged pro camera with a crop frame. Your EF lenses will get a further reach with a 1.6 factor in Millimeter size as well. An added bonus is 4K video without cropping! I’m a Pro Event photographer and this combination is now my go-to camera with my 5D mk iii as my backup.
I’m very happy with this camera, excelente pictures, just one negative comment kind of heavy
When I purchased this camera, I thought I had my last camera I would purchase. Then this D-90 came out. All the little things that were wrong with the D-80 the 90 fixed. For me transferring pics from the 80 to my phone or computer was a nightmare. With the 90 it is easy and actually does what they promised with the 80. Of course, the digital camera is moving from SLR format to mirrorless. But I like the thunk sound when I press the shutter, the videos are great.
Wanted a NEW in the box with USA warranty Canon 90D and this was exactly what I sought. Price was better than I could find in camera stores and big box stores. Very happy with purchase. Taken video and many still shots which are all great.
Es una gran cámara... estoy haciendo el upgrade de la 80d, vale la pena
This is arguably the best Canon APS-C, EF-S mount, DSLR. It is relatively lightweight when compared to Canon’s full frame DSLR rivals, but still heavy in comparison to Canon’s Rebel’s and mirrorless offerings. This is an ideal camera if you are invested in Canon EF-S glass and want to have the best images possible with the rest of your current setup. A really good upgrade for someone with a T5 Rebel or older.
It is fantastic camera…. I already have other 90D Canon but is 5years old. This new one is coming with so many wonderful futures and of course with the graphics… I am so happy!
