I found the camera similar to my T6i yet a little different in setting up in the menu. Getting used to newer format is taking some time. The owners booklet that comes with it is vague but very set up oriented
This is a jewel of a little camera. It is well built, sturdy, and light and comes with a sharp lens good enough for almost anything anyone cares to photograph. Now I don't say this to belittle anyone or to hurt anyone's feelings but if they are not getting the photos they expect from this outfit, maybe they are shooting in AUTO, though I am not sure of that and I am no expert photographer myself by no means. AUTO to me, is for the "Brownie" generation. Those who shoot in AUTO may learn very little about the mechanics of light and photography, and AUTO, for now, may never see in perfection as good as the human eye. I myself always shoot in MANUAL, even when focusing. Included in my review, as an example, is a colorful photo of a pile of rubber bands. Nothing other than resizing to fit the format of this review and just a slight bit of sharpening is all that has been done to it. Actually it was pretty sharp as it was right out of the camera. Put a Canon 250D 58mm close up lens or maybe a RAYNOX on the front of this kit lens and you have a fairly respectable macro lens.
Awesome Camera. Takes super sharp and clear pictures and videos. Easy to use and is lightweight. I am very pleased with this camera.

This camera takes absolutely breathtaking photos! I've only had it a couple weeks and what I've taken so far are beyond what I imagined.
Rebel T8 is awesome. So many settings to take great pictures. Easy to use. Its a bit heavier than my Rebel T6. Love my new purchase.
I like this camera body. Found I could scroll my photos. Also, darker/brighter settings, high speed/low speed continuous shooting, options. The thing I do not care for is that when I take images, I have to swing out the LED screen to check my images. I can do without this. I will not be shooting any movies, I already have the T3i and the swing out LED screen. (I guess the SXi spoiled me, when an image is taken, I can right way see the image taken on the screen on the back of this mode)l. (I also like the flip flash ready, not having to wait for the green picket fence to go away before shooting. If only the camera did not have the swing out LED screen.
I have been using Canon cameras my whole life. This Canon 8Ti does not disappoint. Already taken 2500 photos since I've had the camera. I highly recommend this camera!
This camera has everything u can ask for. With the right lenses u can do everything the more expensive cameras can do. The 4k Is crop but you really don't need it. The videos and photos are so crisp. This camera is very easy to learn, it's straight forward. But if I could give it 10stars I would.
