For a beginner hobbyist, wanting to transition from only taking iPhone photos, it's a great camera. The number of scenes and filters (and their ability to be somewhat customized) adds a nice variety compared to older models. I really like the fact the display screen is touchscreen...no need to remember which button to push to be able to make ISO, aperture, or shutter speed adjustments. Finally being able to shoot video in 4K is a nice perk for a camera that is relatively simple to use.

Beautiful camera for beginners but with lots of functions to shoot amazing pictures. I use it for Astrophotography and it's still not compatible with neither BYE or APT. Other than that, it's perfect.

This is in response to the 3 star review posted about the CAMERA not having zoom capabilities. You zoom with a lens,not the camera. If you mean something else, I apologize but be clear. If you mean magnify,this camera does magnify the subject as well.

Have not used the camera much but the few pictures taken I am very pleased. The lighter weight of the camera versus our old one makes taking pictures much easier.

A higher end Canon that is more in line for my skill level. The results for video are great. Does it work perfectly, yes.

Was hoping to use this with Canon's webcam utility. Unfortunately their webcam utility doesn't seem to support the T8i yet so I still need to use a capture card. The image quality is outstanding though.
