Such a nice camera and it takes amazing pictures!
I started with a Canon SX720HS 40X small digital camera and took pictures of wildlife in my back yard, as well as people, places, etc. So call me a beginner to mid-range camera buff. Then I bought this Canon Rebel 8ti and a 24-105 Canon Zoom Lens. I love the camera because not only does it take the sharpest, clearest. most fantastic pictures I have ever produced, I can actually operate it!! I still know very little about exposure settings, ISO, aperture, etc- I just know that if you put it on auto and hold down the button half way it takes care of everything for you, and you can only get better if you start learning what all the buttons can do for you. I don't want you to think this is beginner's camera, it is not, it is of superior quality and professional grade IMHO, but can be operated easily on your way to becoming a real camera buff. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I jumped from the Canon T4i to the T8i and all I can say is wow! This model is not heavy at all! One of my favorite features is the internal auto flash! I haven't even scratched the surface as to what this camera can do so I'm so looking forward to getting to know her 🤗
I'm a beginner and very happy with this camera. I'm still learning the features of a "real" camera and lenses, but am learning fast. I've had it almost two weeks. The kit 18-55mm is great for starting out and learning, the 75-300mm is awesome for a clean zoom without distortion. The editing software from Canon is also great.

What can I say? This camera is everything you think it will be and 1000 times more. I am beyond happy with this purchase. I researched for months on great entry level camera and I am a Canon person. This meets everything I need. Camera is perfect if you want it to do camera and video. I did not need big 4k video so this one worked great. The picture quality is amazing and no complaints when blowing the pictures up. I cannot say enough about the different ways this camera continues to impress me.
I have waited for this specific camera to come into stock and was very happy when I got it! I had the same DSLR for 12 years and it was time for something new. Keeping that in mind I am not a prof. by any means, but I am very happy so far with what this camera offers! Great pics so far and I love how light it is! The other plus for me is that all my other lenses that I have invested in over the years work well with it and for me not wanting to spend more than necessary it was a plus when buying this one over other options. It has great reviews also on some other sites when I was researching what to buy! :))
The perfect camera to get back into things, settings are mostly designed to "do it for you" which can be annoying but after some learning it's still totally passable and image quality is excellent not to mention filming in 4k is a real plus. The included lens is a great jack of all trades and sets you up to take good photos instantly, and if you need something more than what's provided Canon has a lens for that elsewhere.
As a first time user of this caliber or kind of camera - I am not disappointed and impressed. The 4K video is great despite the automatic 1.6-7 zoom. (I use this camera to film auditions mainly)...the more I learn about it the more I want to delve deeper into photography as a hobby.
