I have used Nikon cameras since some time in 1970. I LOVE Nature Photography! It was when I was taking photos of eagles in a nest that think I was told is150-165 feet away from where I usually shoot that made me realize I needed a more powerful camera than my Nikon D3200. I needed more sharpness=details. The D850 has really improved my distance photography since I can crop more, and still have quality. Of course, too far ,quality is lost.
I've had my eye on this camera from when it was first introduced, and finally decided to purchase it. I should not have waited this long, but so glad I have it now. Brilliant piece of equipment. For this reduced price I Highly recommend!
I have been wanting this camera for some time now ... I have it and have put it down a few times (driving, sleeping, shower) . It is fairly intuitive and lightning fast!
Outstanding camera and as an older shooter, the focus peaking feature is great for less than perfect close vision.
All the positive reviews I read were right. This is a serious tool for photographers. Totally enjoying exploring its capabilities. The best part was the tremendous savings from purchasing an open-box item from B&H. Brand new, saved hundreds of dollars. Thank you!
I have been using a d850 since October 2020 without a hitch and still love it. In fact, I see little reason to upgrade since sensor performance has hardly improved over the d850 in the latest full frame models. Before the d850 I was using a d750. Beyond the greater pixel count, the autofocus performance and dynamic range of the d850 are noticeably superior to the d750. The d850 remains a great camera and retains one clear advantage over the Z mount cameras: it can autofocus the old screw drive lenses, which matters to me as I still use my 180mm 2.8D. If autofocus were critical to my work, maybe I would get a Z mount camera since the latest models seem to be superior in that area, but my current work is mostly landscape photography using tilt-shift lenses. For this project, the Z mount cameras are not a significantly better than the d850.
If you own a Nikon D500, this is the same camera but full frame juiced up. The D500 is incredibly fast, higher ISO than D850. Frame per second is faster as well. But the D850 images are beyond words. I've yet taken the D850 to it's limits, I guess that's because its difficult to reach them. If you are wondering or not to spend that cash, it's worth it. I use both cameras depending on the situation. D850 is the primary
Same great camera, even with a mirror but still one of the best digital DSLR's ever produced. Same great price from this seller and same great super, fast expedited shipping to your door with great packaging. What's not to like? Great job, well done!
Awesome camera. Fast autofocus. Works great with the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens.
