I have been using the 80D for a while, and I’m so in love with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF, plus the excellent Canon touch screen, it’s a beast.

I still wish it has 4K, but the Dual Pixel CMOS AF plus the Canon touch screen is more important at least to me.

This is a fine camera if you are not going to shoot video or moving people. Coming from a 50D, and Rebel XT before that, this camera rocks! But I shoot nature and now professionally architecture so I do not miss eye-AF nor 4k video.

I have this camera on loan right now. I've had it for about a week, and I can tell you right now that I absolutely love it!! The Dynamic range isn't an issue for me so much, I make it work in my favor. Plus I love dark colors, and so do my clients, hence them reaching out to me. Anyways, I mostly do video and shoot nightlife with the a7sii as my workhorse, but I don't like it so much during day shoots or for photos. Long story short, I came across the 6DMkii and LOVE IT for Day shoots!!! Even in a decent low light situations it does well. The ability to switch in between photos AND video without having to adjust settings is one of the main reasons why I love and miss Canon.

I'm very happy with my decision. A true upgrade from the Rebel series, and a body that allows me to get the access Canon's wealth of high-quality EF glass (much of which can be had for a steal second-hand, as early-adopters migrate to mirrorless). The AF points are pretty centrally clustered when using the viewfinder, but this honestly has been a non-issue for the way I shoot. Picture quality is terrific, and low-light performance is very good. The fully-articulating "flippy screen" is super useful -

The Autofocus System is Fast and Accurate. The colors are brilliant.. The resolution at 26.5 megapixels is quite nice. Where I didn't expect this camera to shine, it impressed me quite a bit.

This review is from a hobbyist and intended for other hobbyists. I purchased this camera as a back-up full frame and to expand into the Canon line. I love this camera as I have every other camera I've owned. It's images are superb and reliability seems a non-issue at present. I also own Nikon D750, which is similar in price and performance so it's all I can gauge the 6D against. The 6D has a smaller viewfinder and I find myself getting closer to my subject than I normally do to acquire the right composition. There is no built in flash so a speedlight is a necessity and..if you plan to use a master/slave you'll have to buy two lights and a trigger. It also has one SD card slot vs two in the Nikon. I like the GPS feature as it saves a step in PP.

This camera has been criticized thoroughly for its dynamic range performance, but the truth is that the dynamic range is stellar and it's good enough for what a pro-sumer camera needs to do. The features to love is the touch screen super flexible screen with pinch to zoom (!!), Wifi with Bluetooth for simple image transfers, quick RAW continuous shooting, and honestly not that heavy. Live View is very good. The one criticism I do agree with is the 1080p limit of video, but what it does produce at 1080p is pretty good.

this is one of the most affordable ways to get a full frame DSLR, and full frame camera are the business, so you must have this. The Sony mirrorless is ok but it's got an expensive lens eco system with similar total bulk. Canon is also running a lot of promotions and refurbished items for lenses and flashes so it's a good system to buy into.
