This is my first professional camera. I am a novice but with a little bit of study and a whole lot of practice I've been able to utilize this camera to its potential.

Although the technology is older, it still takes too notch images.

I went to upgrade from 6d mark ii to this 5d mark iv for its 4k capability. Bad move. 5d mark iv shoots 4k at 1:7 zoom ratio. This significant crop make 4k useless. Amazon and Canon must disclose this fact for buyers upfront. I carefully watched Canons tutorial and the only fact they mention that the 4k mode produces huge .mov files. Not a word about 4k cropping. Misleading. Still pictures and 1080 are excellent. However you say the same about 6d mark ii at half price.

I'm really happy with my 5Div so far. The focusing is fast and accurate and it has less noise than my 5D3 did. Since I do a lot of theatre photography, that is really important for me.

A greatly improved product in Canon's 5D series line of cameras.
