Overall, no complaints with this camera, no significant features are missing (the addition of 4K video is a bonus, but not a key feature of this particular camera, so I don’t understand why people are complaining about it. Want a video camera? Get one that is designed for that purpose!) Only concern with Canon is that I have no real needs that I’m looking forward to addressing perhaps with the next model (Mk v) so I won’t be in a rush to upgrading any time soon.
Great camera, seems to be very under rated. People are so focused on hype and specs on paper. This camera feels solid and performs very well, and will definitely be up to the task of heavy professional use. There is enough dynamic range for nearly any situation unless you are completely butchering your exposures. The only task I can see it not being as good as Nikon for is real estate photography. With a D810, at base ISO, you can take a photo indoors exposing for the light outside of a window to capture the outdoor scenery, and literally pull the entire indoor area/room out of the shadows cleanly, saving you from having to use lights or exposure merged HDR.
I bought this from another vendor. The camera overall is quite good. At $3000, it's overpriced compared to Nikon and Sony's latest gears but I guess I'm stuck with Canon for a while. The worst part of Canon 5D Mark IV is this flimsy UCSB connector. It's so fragile that Canon decided to give send the cable with a after-thought protector that you are supposed to to screw it on everytime you transfer files. I don't see this port will last long if you use it often. What a disastrous port for $3000 camera? Even a $300 camera got a more robust port. The wireless is so slow that it's only good for jpeg, small files. The only other option to transfer many files is to use a card reader. Canon stinks in such an obviously defective design.

I just purchased this camera last week as an upgrade from the mark 3. I am loving this camera! As a professional Wedding Photographer this camera is a worthy upgrade for me. My first impressions of the camera make me come to the conclusion that the upgrade is worthy for several reasons: The focusing is much improved! After culling my images from Saturdays wedding, I found much less focus mistakes. I also noticed a big difference in focusing in low light. Another noteworthy feature is the much improved iso performance. I think I shot in the one of the darkest church's in my career on Saturday, having to bump up my iso to 32,000 I was so impressed with how well it did. Grant it there was some grain but truly not bad! None of the purpleish/greenish grain in the high isos that I frequently encountered with the 5d3. The dynamic range has much improved as well. There were a few very over exposed images from my Saturday wedding and I was so happy I was able to retrieve them in lightroom. On the Mark3 I would have been able to improve that image but I would not have been able to save the whites and would have most likely deleted it or turn it black and white. Not only was my church super dark on Saturday but so was the venues dance floor. I noticed many reviews talking about the awesome live view mode. I was able to test that out on the dark dance floor and I was blown away. This feature worked amazing and I think will benefit so many wedding photographers. Another notable for mark 3 users upgrading is how similar the controls are set up , so it makes transitioning to the mark 4 rea
This has to be the best camera ever! I’ve gone from the Canon 10D to the Canon 7D and now to the 5D Mark IV. What an improvement. It was worth the investment, believe me!
After years of carrying Canon 1Series DLSR’s through airports, I decided to lighten my load and try the 5D MarkIV. The RAW files process through Capture One nicely and hold up well compared to my previous 1Dx and 1Ds MarkIII. Where the 5D MarkIV excels is in the higher ISO range and resolution, leaving room to crop if needed. I specialize in food images but shoot lifestyle from time to time so I’m not worried about speed like a sports shooter.

We all know this is a great camera for wedding and portrait photography, what I was impressed with the most is how good it is when using it for wildlife photography. I have a 7d mark 2 and I shoot with the Canon 100-400 ii lens. The 7D may give me more fps but the Mark 4 gives me more keepers. This is a work horse that should be in every professionals bag.
