My daughter is using this for college and has motion design, drawing, photography and other needs for this camera and it has met all needs so far.

This camera was purchased as a gift for someone who loves photography but only had an iPhone. For the most part, the iPhone was able to take amazing pictures and it worked very well. After a while she wanted to experience a full DSLR type camera and this was the best option. The camera is a compelling price point as far as entry level photography equipment is concerned. The learning curve isn't too steep but its not as easy as opening a camera app. Overall, this camera is the perfect first choice for an aspiring photographer.
