I've been toying around with photography for a couple years--using various friends' or family members' cameras as testing ground for whether this would be a sustained thing. I decided to take the plunge with this "advanced beginners" camera, and I'm really pleased. I was looking for particular features, because my camera usage tends toward architectural and interior-space photography. So I really wanted something with good low-light capabilities/ISO range, and ideally an affordable zoom lens to be able to capture architectural details that might be several stories up. This camera hit those benchmarks really well--the ISO range is awesome and the additional zoom lens that you can purchase alongside it is really great for the price. It's super user friendly, and surprisingly light. Overall really happy!

First, let me say I was always strictly a film girl--a black and white film girl. I loved developing it, printing my own photos, and the entire burning and dodging bits. I even have an enlarger in storage I hope to use one day when I actually have the space and means to build my own dark room (going on 21 years, but husband says when we buy final house in 2 years that will be the first thing we do!). Anyhow... I had another DSLR. Not going to say what brand, because I do love the 35 mm cameras they make--but that camera... Left LOTS to be desired. This one... for someone that has always been just film and is trying desperately to wrap their head around digital photography beyond what one can do on a smart phone, is AMAZING! Yes... the app to import photos from camera to phone or computer can be clunky. But I figured it out and it was so much easier than getting my old iPhone photos off of it to my windows laptop. So yes: they need to improve that capability. In this day in age it should not be that hard. And I have one complaint beyond that... sometimes it will not shoot when I am "too" close to a scene I have set up (could be it is just not reading the sensors well at that point...I don't know)--so what if the photo stinks... I will delete it later. Anyhow.. Those are my only two complaints. Lots of great scene setting options, amazing clarity in photos, great battery life, not heavy to carry--light and compact compared to the one I purchased in 2010. So if you are new to the DSLR world like me, or just looking for a camera to go out and have fun with, the two complaints I have are nothing compared to what this camera can do--so I highly recommend it! :)
Excellent purchase with a great kit to get started. Camera works very well and I’m very happy with this purchase. Registered it with canon and have the option to buy a service plan with them for 2-4 years. The kit comes with everything you need to get started and most of the items are of very good quality. Either way the camera and kit is less than what you would spend for just the camera at retail stores so can’t complain at all. Excellent seller and fast shipping. Ordered on a Thursday and received it on the following Tuesday. Everything was packaged very nicely. 100% recommend to anyone!!
I'm really happy with this purchase, the camera and acessories are as described and work well.
It's a decent bundle. It was actually cheaper than buying the camera out right at most places. Good camera for beginners and hardcore users. it pretty much does everything that you would want in a camera like this. the items bundled with it are little on the cheap side. But everything is still worth it. If you're looking for a camera to do YouTube or use as a webcam for twitch this is perfect.
