works good. no exposure controls. must know how to adjust sutter speed and iris when use it inside.
Can make more action than 100 series but both works excellent
This camera is amazing for what t is. incredible lens. fantastic for fast street doc filming. only downside: The rolling shutter is off the charts terrible. like… it’s almost funny. but the picture and quality and zoom and image stabilizing… and then it had 3 nd filters… Really pretty awesome. but just fyi- i saw a clip with Steven Spielberg using this to record a John Williams session. i tried it out. i see why he owns it..
pros--love that bokeh thanks to 1 inch sensor. definitely creamier than my canon hfg30. viewfinder is large and detailed. extra large eyecup to keep sun out. leica image quality excellent. Super SLO-MO very cool even if limited to HD. build quality solid. built-in one-touch ND filters a godsend. cons--sure could've used BOSS from ax53. ok for handheld statics and even moderate zooms but shaky for moving targets. menu illogical and even with six one-button shortcuts too many functions require two or three touches. touch screen is resistive and require twice as much pressure than capacitives.
I had an AX100, sold it for a DSLR to shoot video, big mistake selling my camcorder. There is nothing like the handling of a true camcorder. I was going to re-buy an AX100 and noticed there is now an AX700. I purchased the AX700 and couldn't be happier. The manual controls and built-in ND filters are great!
Check out AX700's footage out there yourself, it's the best / most superb prosumer camcorder on the market now. Also the so called "4K 60p" feature is no big deal at all. Canon you really need to work hard to catch up!
Great camera, has a lot of features not found on others in this range. You have full control, can do slow or fast motion (time lapse, stop motion), crisp and clear video in 4k, or 1080.
I have this Camcorder And its great, a Prosumer Camera! Im very happy with it and the visual quality is great. It has all the things a professional camera has except a ton of manual features that pro cams come with. Everything else fits Though :)
My wife absolutely loves it and says it is really good for her to take nature pictures and videos
