Great camera. Shoots awesome video

This is a good camera. it can do most of what a consumer will need and with the eye piece can function well on sunny days. A word of warning, Every manufacturer needs to have a proprietary something. Sony has chosen the usb download cable. It looks like some others but only the one that comes with the camera works. Others will even fit, but they don't work. Label yours and don't lose it! On the whole I recommend this camera.

I have been looking at this camcorder for quite some time. It came down to this one, the Canon HF G50 or Canon XA40. I decided on this one because I've always liked the color palate of Sony. I also liked that you can control the camcorder with my phone. So far so good. The video is really beautiful. The colors are great, the zoom is very good, and the stabilization is amazing.

We chose this model to zoom in better for live streaming church service. Plenty of other features, but that was our main objective.

Compact , easy-to-use all in one unit built in options

I have several Sony video cameras. Most have a 1 sensor but are not 4K. I bought this one because I needed something more portable and smaller for concerts. The smaller sensor is not a problem. Never use the eye cup viewer. I would not use this camera for photos. You need a dedicated DSLR for that. Would have liked 2 SD card slots but I understand that Sony had to cripple some features to lower the price. The best thing is using the manual adjustment ring on the front of the lens for on the fly exposure. I also needed a camera that automatically protected the lens when not using.

I am amazed how stable video I can get with full zoom and no tripod! 4K is sharp! Videos look great on big screen.
